About

I live in the great state of Texas. For many years I've been a recovering technophobe, when it came to technology I just wanted to stay away.

Not that I didn't enjoy using the results of technology, it's just the instruction books on "How to Do" put me to sleep or baffle me. It's just so many of the instruction books are written in the foreign language of techno-geek.

The problem arises when you can't make something work unless you read the directions. So then I'm stuck. Either sit down and try to translate the directions into people talk or ask Bee.

You see I've been married for many years to Bee. He's a fantastic husband, who is a life long techie and geek. He loves new gadgets and technology. As a result we get lots of them and since Bee semi-retired several months ago, the number of items seem to be increasing. And every single gadget and gizmo he buys all have the extra bells, whistles and direction manuals to read…

Through the years our careers have taken on different paths, but we decided to try a project together. When Sunny and Mark some of our least tech-savvy friends started talking about the Spanish lessons they were taking via podcast, we knew the time was here.

So we completed Podcast Secrets with Paul Colligan and Alex Mandossian, a great course showing geeks and technophobes alike how to develop, host and promote a podcast. In the course Paul and Alex talked about doing what you know best. As Baby Boomers, we thought why not a program for Boomers? So the idea of Podcast for Boomers was born.

We plan to start podcasting in mid-June. I'm interviewing, marketing and connecting with our guests. Bee is doing his thing developing the technical side and doing some interviews.

In the meantime, I'm beta testing Casgle's Podium black box.
